Richard J. Raimond is a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law. He graduated from the University of Bristol, England with an honors degree in English and Philosophy in 1999.
During law school, Mr. Raimond served as Note and Comment Editor for the University of Kansas Law Review and interned for Judge James P. O'Hara of the United States Court for the District of Kansas. He also worked in the school's Legal Aid Clinic through which he received the Mary Anne Chambers Service Award in 2006. He is the author of The Role of Indefinite Detention in Antiterrorism Legislation, published in the January 2006 Kansas Law Review.
Mr. Raimond joined Goodell, Stratton, Edmond & Palmer, L.L.P. in the fall of 2006 and practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, with a focus on healthcare law, collections, and creditors' rights.
Mr. Raimond is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas, the Western District of Missouri, and the Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Kansas and Topeka Bar Associations, the Sam A. Crow American Inns of Court, the Kansas Association of Hospital Attorneys, and the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council. Mr. Raimond is also a contributing author the West's Bankruptcy Exemptions Manual.
