Wayne T. Stratton graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1958 and thereafter served as a judge advocate in the United States Air Force. He joined Goodell, Stratton, Edmonds and Palmer in 1961. Although he has served as a trial advocate in all facets of civil law, his primary interest is in insurance, personal injury and health care law.

A past president and member of the Topeka Board of Education, Mr. Stratton has also served as chairman of the Washburn University Board of Regents. For a number of years, he taught Trial Techniques at Washburn University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor Of Law and has conducted numerous seminars in trial techniques, litigation and health law. For 25 years he was a member of the Board of Directors of a life insurance company.

Mr. Stratton has served as president of the Topeka Bar Association, the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, the Kansas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Kansas Association of Hospital Attorneys and the Sam A. Crow American Inn of Court. He has been chairman and member of various Kansas Bar Association committees. He has received Distinguished Service Awards from the Kansas Medical Society, the Washburn Law School Association, the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel and the Topeka Bar Association. Other professional affiliations include The American Bar Association and International Association of Defense Counsel. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Trial Lawyers.
