Miranda K. Owens received her law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2004. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2000 and a Master of Accountancy in 2001.   During law school, Ms. Owens received a tax certificate and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Estate Planning Principles. She served as the site and electronic filing coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kathryn H. Vratil in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas in Kansas City.   Ms. Owens is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas. She is a member of the American, Kansas and Topeka Bar Associations.
